Keep score in tennis
Singles or doubles, best of 3 or 5, Fast4, No-Ad and a 10-point tie-break: how to count a tennis match with Padel Watch.
Padel Watch counts tennis too. Scoring works like padel: one tap or one button per point, undo takes the last one back. The watch counts games, sets, serve and side changes by the tennis rules.
Singles or doubles
- Singles: one player per side, “Me” and “Opponent” if you don’t add names. The serve changes every game, and there’s no question about who serves within a team.
- Doubles: counts like padel, with a lineup and the question of who serves in each team.
Choose it on iPhone when you start a new match, on Apple Watch during setup and on your Garmin watch under Change rules › Match type.
Formats
- Best of 3: two sets to win, tie-break at 6–6.
- Best of 5: three sets to win.
- Fast4: two sets to win, sets to 4, a tie-break to 5 at 3–3. At 4–4 in the tie-break, one point decides. Fast4 is always No-Ad.
- Also: best of 3 with a super tie-break instead of a third set, one set or pro set.
Deuce
- Advantage: at 40–40 a player needs a two-point lead.
- No-Ad: at 40–40 a single point decides. The receivers choose the side.
10-point tie-break in the final set
At 6–6 in the deciding set, a tie-break to 10 with a two-point lead decides, like at the Grand Slams. The set then ends 7–6. The switch is there for best of 3 and best of 5.
Padel Watch doesn’t count aces or double faults. It counts points, games and sets.
What the rules mean is explained on the rules page.
